Decades of Experience to Support Your Growth as a Clinician
Meet Your Supervisors
Diana Kandilakis
I have been in the field of mental health for 30 years and bring a rich and varied background to my role as a clinical supervisor. After earning degrees in psychology, environmental education, and counseling psychology, I began my career in Maine in 1995 at a residential/day treatment facility and went on to serve in diverse clinical settings—as a crisis clinician, HCT therapist and supervisor, DEEP counselor, individual therapist, and Partial Hospital Program clinician at MaineHealth.
Since opening my private practice in 2021, I’ve provided psychotherapy to individuals both remotely and in person, drawing from a foundation that is both broad and deep in my areas of expertise. I have intensive training in Internal Family Systems (IFS) which is my preferred modality, and integrate its principles into my work and supervision—helping clinicians develop confidence, curiosity, and clarity in their practice.
Outside of work, I stay grounded through yoga, music, gardening, and connectedness with the humans and non humans in my life. My values rest on a foundation of love for earth’s natural systems and animals and the desire for just and sustainable human communities. Day to day, humor and a sense of perspective are a must!

Sarah Ferriss
I’m a lifelong Mainer and licensed clinical social worker with over 30 years of experience serving children, adolescents, and adults in nonprofit and private practice settings. I earned my MSW from the University of New England in 1995 and later completed a Doctor of Social Work at the University of Tennessee, deepening my clinical knowledge and leadership in the field.
As a clinical supervisor, I bring both breadth and depth—combining decades of hands-on experience with an entrepreneurial drive to develop creative, equity-focused programs for marginalized communities. I approach supervision with the same respect and presence I offer clients: listening deeply, honoring complexity, and fostering a space for insight and growth.
My work is informed by a lifelong commitment to social justice, a reverence for mindfulness and embodiment practices, and the teachings of Jon Kabat-Zinn, Thich Nhat Hanh, Brené Brown, Richard Schwartz, and Bessel van der Kolk. When I’m not working, I’m likely at home with loved ones, reading, or listening to music—grateful every day to be part of a profession grounded in dignity, courage, and compassion.
